My workflow for perfect frequency coordination 1. My workflow for perfect frequency coordination 1. Turn off all my transmitters. 2. Initiate a new spectrum scan in the sound devices 688 and SL-6. 3. Write down where the free spaces are in the spectrum. 4. Open the FreqFinder by New Endian App and disable all but the first two rows. 5. Choose a first frequency for the first transmitter that’s in one of the free slots written down earlier. 6. For the second transmitter, tap on “compatible channels” in FreqFinder and chose the second frequency so it’s also still within the free space we found earlier. 7. Enable channel 3 in FreqFinder and proceed with “compatible channels” in the free parts of the spectrum till all channels are set.

For this shot in a driving car we installed DPA 40 For this shot in a driving car we installed DPA 4060 wireless mics and captured dialogue without a boom mic. Worked very well and sounded like a car. 😀 The Lectrosonics transmitters were hidden in the glove compartment.
We arrived way early on the first day of shooting We arrived way early on the first day of shooting for this @itvstudiosgermany TV movie in #berlin to be able to set up our gear properly. This was a good thing because we discovered through a frequency scan done in the #sounddevices 688 with SL-6 and #lectrosonics SRc receivers fitted that all the frequencies that did work well in Cologne were totally crowded in Berlin. So we made a new frequency coordination plan using the FreqFinder by newendian App and the Lectrosonics coordination tables. Within half an hour all eight radio mics were running smoothly in the new realm.
Filming this scene of students protesting against Filming this scene of students protesting against climate change right in front of one of Berlin’s biggest sights, the Brandenburger Tor, we had a playback of the song that was composed for the movie we are filming. Our battery powered little PA worked well enough and attracted a lot of tourist’s attention. The actors were in the right groove and as we filmed could sing along the playback. But this also meant that the track our boom recorded couldn’t be used because it has an ugly mixture of people singing and our little PA speaker blaring in the background. So we recorded a wild track after filming where the actors wore headphones that played the song for them and they could sing along to the music without the boom mic picking up the playback. This way we captured a clean track of the singing in the exact tempo and key of the song.
